Cupra Ateca SUV 2020 review – see how we made it quicker than a Golf R!

This is the new Cupra Ateca! Not to be confused with the SEAT Ateca, the Cupra version is a 300hp SUV that has what it takes to compete with the likes of the Golf R! But with such a similar price, coupled with the ability to add ABT tuning for a small price, would you choose the SUV over the hot hatch? Join Mat and see what you think!

  1. it is the build up model to the independent brand of Cupra itself alone. Which will be building its own cars from the ground up starting with the Formentor. YAY! This is a damn Tiguan (Golf platform) that is made under a Spanish nameplate. PewPew

  2. For about same amount of money, you actually can get a car with properly fitted longitudinal engine and low overhang. BMW 330d or xd… wow!

  3. I think that tattoo space invaders badge is supposed to be copper, not gold. Something to do with the meaning of cupra. Keep exposing those fake vents with the stick of truth.

  4. Fuck I don't know how this homie is the best and most detailed car reviewer whilst simultaneously being the funniest as well, seems like just an all round top bloke, "always colour code your dog to your car interior" ahhaah

  5. "Logo looks like those crappy tattoos people get when too drunk" exactly, and the Cupra as a "brand" could have been a good idea if they made it into a baby Porsche style brand, but currently Cupra supposedly a "sporty" brand only offers crossovers, even their concept car is a crossover, that is ridiculous. Whoever is directing Cupra should not be directing an enthusiast oriented brand

  6. If those are the worst five points about this car, who cares? For around £35k you're getting a genuine performance SUV. Okay, so it might not be quite as fast as the Alfa SUV in a straight line, but a 0 – 60mph time of under 4.7 seconds puts most Range Rover Sports models to the test. And let's not forget that the (uglier looking) Alfa is twice the price of the Cupra Ateca. I think this is a great car!
