This is the new Mazda 6! It’s a more left-field alternative to your standard family saloon, and comes in at a relatively cheap price of £23,000. There’s no denying that it looks good, but does the interior and driving quality match up to the looks? Join Mat for his latest in-depth review to find out!

  1. Not a fan of Japanese cars like the horrible Honda or just dam ugly Toyota. But looking at mazdas at the moment they are making some really nice cars great designs so would I have one I'd say yes.

  2. How can he be so picky about this car that tbh looks absolutely amazing, but then gets on a bmw 3 series and tells people to go and buy them if their quality is dam low and unreliable

  3. I don’t like that the heated seat buttons are in the armrest. It’s the same thing in the Maserati Quattroporte V. Having the armrest down makes me feel a bit cramped and if there’s a middle passenger, you can’t heat the seats. Not a BIG deal but not my first choice for placement.

  4. after drving 3 volvos, 1 peugeot and 1 toyota camry…i can say that my 2019 Mazda 6 Tourer is my favourite car so far for the price i paid for it. What it lacks is a turbo charger thats all. Other than that, it is a lovely car to drive…pleasing to the eyes interiorly and exteriorly

  5. My Mazda has nothing but problems, engine and gearbox is fine, but brakes, bearings and bushings need replacing after 30k miles, the service schedule in expensive and more often than a lot of modern cars, German cars are every 16 – 18k miles and every 2 years, Mazda is annually and cost the same amount as the local BMW dealer. The paint and body work is also cheap and thin. It's a great car but compared to its competitors, it's not as good value as it seems.

  6. White Nappa interior ? Brown Nappa interior ? What is wrong with Black Nappa ? I'd still like to know how much of the seat is covered in Nappa leather. Putting my purchase off now to see if the virus takes me.

  7. It must be good when the negatives they pick out are cable operated fuel flap and the coat hook being too far back. Maybe its there for hanging a coat hanger on, thats the reason its not by the drivers seat belt. Its probably not intended for you to hang a jacket there when there is a passenger in the back. Not having driven the auto version he can reassure us its not very good. I own one and found it one of the smoothest auto's there is, it locks up in every gear except 1st. Has manual select aswell. The mazda 6 has long been admired as a great drivers car by lots of car journalists and now all of a sudden it has no steering feel in corners. Only Matt from Carwows opinion, do your own test driving decide for yourself.

  8. My 2012 Mazda 6 Sport is fantastic. I'm 64 years old and recently drove my car from Spain back the the UK and back again, over 3200 miles of sheer driving pleasure. Hoping to update for a newer model in the near future. These cars are underrated by most. Highly recommended and great value for money.

  9. The issue with Mazda’s cars is the fact they’re all ancient under the body. Mazda’s 2.0/2.5L and 2.2TD engines are so old and really don’t deliver on their claimed efficiency and eco-friendliness. Hardly any new cars have had a 6-speed automatic for ages. Everyone else moved on to 8, 9 or 10 speeds. I also don’t find their interior design or quality to be that great. There’s cheap bits all over, like in the trunk where the liner feels like cardboard with fabric glued to it.
