However, we’ve also noticed a lot of your comments saying how the price in the UK differs to what you’d have to pay in other countries. So it got us thinking – what are the biggest rip-off car countries around the world? And in those countries, what are the craziest car prices?

Hasn't the price of cars in general more than doubled in recent years, just look at the average cost of an electric car, they are now >= house prices a few years ago. And now owning a car is a thing of the past with mortgage style finance monthly costs and a huge end of term payment….people will either have to face a life time of dept and never own a car or do something else…The other thing to consider is if you are comparing the price of cars in other countries, you also have to take into account the cost of living, the incoming and outgoing expense's are probably similar in terms of scales.

if you dont have brazil in your list its wrong. in brazil cars are as expensive as all the countries you mentioned but we sell more cars than the uk.

I was surprised that Finland was not mentioned, though not as crazy as Cuba, the prices are still ridiculous. As an example Audi rs5 was ~£ 127 000, (€ 141 000). Then again the roads here are so poor and gasoline so expensive, very few would buy them even if they were cheaper. Luckily old and cheap cars can be fun too, when there is snow and ice. 🙂

im from indonesia but my city is a FTZ (free trade zone) this means there are no import tax so for a 2020 cayenne s cost 94000 pounds. so it is almost the same price lol i guess

Yes, the one that causes the price of cars in Indonesia because the tax there is not messy, especially for cars with engines that I use above 3000 cc, not those with 4 × 4 drives are subject to additional taxes
In Israel there is 83% of tax and all of the cars are very expensive!

I just looked up the 911 carera price in the Netherlands, it starts at 143.000 euro's. In Belgium, it's 109.000
