We all know that when buying a new car there’s always the chance to add some additional options to it.
While for most cars options will include small updates such as minor decal changes or maybe even the addition of a sunroof. But trust us, there are some options out there that can massively increase the price of a car. And not only that, but when you add all of the options together for some cars, the price can more than double!
So that got us thinking – which cars out there will see their price sky-rocket if you choose all the available options? Well, after we recently reviewed the Maybach GLS and saw its price rise by 38% once all the options were added, we’ve gone out and found 10 other cars where their price increases by more than 38% once you select all the options!
We’ve left out the likes of Rolls-Royce & Bentley given they don’t release prices for their options, so which car do you think will take the top spot? Let us know with a COMMENT, then watch the video to find out!

basically all audi and mercedes cars are a bunch of cheap plastic before adding anything
WLTP will have affected the options list as a lot of individual options are now grouped into packages to make the testing regime more efficient and obviously to make more money on the customer

Skoda Kodiaq! Starts at £26,630 and I got it up to 45k before the site crashed and reloaded me at the beginning. Check it out. It's ridiculous the amount of options there is.
I've seen way too many people fitted panoramic glass roof and Miami Blue and roof rails all on to their base Macans… These 3 pointless stuff (relative to a base Macan) already make up over 10% of the car's list price…

I remember when i bought a new VW Multivan, the entry level 2.0tdi was priced at 35k Euros, the list price for the one with ALL the options, ended up being 93k Euros!!
I have a hard time believing the Macan outpaces the Cayenne for price increase. A base Cayenne is $67.5K US. A base Cayenne Turbo S e-Hybrid is $163.2K US. Start adding options, and you can nearly TRIPLE the price of a base Cayenne! Or do you not consider upper models as just trim levels in the UK?
A Mustang Ecoboost starts at $27K US. A Mustang GT500 with all the options (few they may be) is $105K US. Nearly FOUR TIMES as much.

My 2017 Hyundai tucson starts from €25,000 and went up to €38,000 so it's like 55% more

Porsche’s new slogan should be “The Nickel and Diming Kings”.
In india there is a tax rate of 180% so the starting price is just crazy,the starting price of an Evoque is more than 77k pounds here.
I just did an estimate on the Canadian Porsche website with the Macan (based at $57,800 cad), with all the options fitted it came out to $173,610 cad so that's 200.3% worth of option it's insane.
You can spec a new Defender much more if you allow accessories. I went from 55k to 120k.
