Coronavirus: Click here for advice for car buying during the pandemic –
How far can these electric cars go before they die?! We drove the Tesla Model 3, Audi e-tron, Jaguar I-Pace, Nissan Leaf, Kia e-Niro and Mercedes EQC across the UK to see how long they could last! Sure, the smart money is on the Tesla, with its claimed range of up to 348 miles – but can the manufacturer’s figures really be trusted? Will victory instead go to the sporty-feeling I-Pace, or the posher EQC? Or will the more affordable likes of the e-Niro and Leaf pull a major upset and make it the furthest? There’s only one way to find out…

This just proves how disfunctional EC are.
So, interetsing. If you do not plan your charging, and, as per the vlog, just keep driving hoping there will be a charging point whne you get down to the end of teh battery, and run out of power and cause an accident. What are the legal implications?
this is why range anexity is really scary and people stay away from EVs dude its stress and tension at the same time
What a gentleman… Ask the lady passenger to push the car while he stays on the camera. I will note unsubscribe from the channel. Not impressed at all.
Thanks for doing the test. This itself is splendid work.
I'm extremely happy with my Kona EV, now driving my wife to/fro work at the hospital daily during the COVID-19 lockdown.
the Merc came off the motorway near my house

kinda wish the wrangler had an electric option
Amazing Job. Thanks!
fun fact, in emergencies these cars can go quite a distance with 0% charge, this will damage the battery but is worth it when a natural disaster could hurt you.
manufacturers don't even need to remove the side mirrors because they were so fine instead of putting some cameras as the substitute of the mirrors and removing it it would just reduce the range
Awesome video..!! Great efforts carwow team..!
The KIA won this big time as far as I'm concerned. The cheapest car on the list – which is still a decent 200hp car – does only 15 miles less than the best and highest regarded vehicle in the lot while also being the most honest about its expected range. Wow!
That's answered a lot of questions on EV's for me. Thanks
The winner is woman pushing a tesla
Tesla actually achieved 87% of it's claimed range. Tesla claimed 310 miles not 348
16:20 it’s 10pm
Wow… Carwow and Mat Watson and the crew, just wow. Very helpful video, appreciate all the time, effort and resources put to make this a success.
Uhhhh, you cannot put a DC Fast Charge connector on a Tesla. Maybe I couldn't see an adapter
TESLA IS AWSOMEEEE
Nice video dude it's so useful and this video is full of efforts behind that and you made it perfectly
this is why i like tesla XD
Extremely helpful!
Kia is the winner. Best price for real range, most efficient (90%!), cheapest total price and long guarantee. Great job.
Ipace can now do 245 miles after sw update if you take the same conditions of video. I was getting 237 in winter 5-9C. Range should be around 265 now as last summer was 250….cant test as we are all sitting at home in lockdown. I have 14k miles on the clock so have reliable data.
If you swapped into each of the cars, how many stops did you make along the way?
Kia has won this doing 90% of claimed distance
All others are to far away
Hi mat Watson did you got the Tesla model 3 Long range as you knew you would win
who's pushing the tesla
Its imminent that electric cars will one day be more or less the only cars on the road they will only get better and more efficient and quicker to charge they will one day blow petrol out the park.
The other cars are fine but Tesla is still th only electric car I would buy for so many reasons.
At least the wife will have a use.
I don't know why but I think these electric cars has ruined everything we like about a normal car… For example the sound??? WTF is happening are these things gonna take over the world?? Somehow…
I'm annoyed. AF
Really useful video confirming I wouldn't touch an EV with a barge pole. No good for everyday business users who do high mileage. Don't have time to sit around at charging points.
How come it's illegal to use a mobile phone in a car yet a hand held walkie talkie is fine ?
